What is asset tracking software?
Asset tracking software keeps a digital record of every company asset, such as IT equipment, furniture, machinery and vehicles. Each asset gets a tag that is scanned to record location, custodian, maintenance and value, replacing spreadsheets and making audits and depreciation much faster and more accurate.
Should I use barcode, QR code or RFID tags?
Barcode and QR labels are low cost and work with any phone camera, which suits offices and most companies. RFID tags cost more but can be read in bulk without line of sight, which helps warehouses, hospitals and large sites. AxoOne supports all three, and you can mix them by asset class.
Can the system calculate depreciation?
Yes. You set the method, useful life and residual value for each asset class, and AxoOne calculates monthly depreciation, accumulated depreciation and net book value. It also handles additions, transfers between cost centres and disposals, and exports the register for your accountant and auditor.
How does employee custody work?
When an asset is handed to an employee, the handover is recorded on the app with signature, date and condition. Each employee has a custody list that shows everything they hold, so items can be returned and checked before a transfer, long vacation or end of service.
Can I track assets across several branches and project sites?
Yes. Assets can be organised by company, branch, building, floor, room or project site. Transfers between locations need approval and are logged, and dashboards show the value and count of assets at each location in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam or anywhere else.
